guys! guys! 

Dan Forrest liked my String Quartet piece! :D 

The first thing he said was “Well Good For You, You’ve Got Some Really Cool Stuff Here!”

(pretty enthusiastically if I do say so myself)

& he seemed surprised when I told him it was my first string quartet piece, he said it definitely didn’t look like a first try at composing for strings, and that it was better than his first string quartet. 

I’d like to pat my self on the back, since I’ve never touched a violin, viola or cello, I’d say that I did pretty well (I get really over confident sometimes, especially after receiving compliments, so I apologize for my snarky conceded-ness) 

However, I know from that experience and just what I’ve learned recently that I could bring so much more to a string quartet piece …. & I kind want to write another one now…

but I have a soprano piece to clean up and a guitar duet to finish, and a harp piece to start…but after that!! I will venture back to strings :)
